How to Clean Resin Jewelry:

Resin jewelry is very resistant to water, but extended submersion is not recommended. Do not soak in liquid jewelry cleaner.

  • Gently wipe off excess dirt with a dry towel. Dirt builds up quickly on resin if it is not properly protected. Make sure most of this dirt has been wiped off before continuing to make the cleaning process easier.
  • Mix 1 tablespoon liquid dish washing detergent with ½ gallon hot water in a large bowl. This simple mixture is mild enough that it will not harm the resin but will still remove dirt and grime. Just be careful that the water is not too hot or it could burn you.
  • Use a sponge to apply the soapy water to the resin. Dip the sponge into the water and then ring out so the sponge is wet but not dripping. Then wipe down the resin to remove any dirt, wetting the sponge as necessary.
  • Rinse the resin thoroughly. Once the resin is clean, rinse it with plain water. This will remove any excess soap which will create a film if is not properly cleaned off.
  • Wipe dry with a towel. Once soap has been removed, take a dry soft towel and wipe the resin until it is dry. This will help prevent dirt from building back up immediately after cleaning.
